In cases where an individual is an Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) by virtue of their role and not their ownership, they will not automatically appear as a UBO in Strise. You can manually add them to the list of UBOs without them being included in the ownership chart.

How do I add a UBO without ownership?

  1. Find the Ownership and Control section on the company page.

  2. Click the pencil icon in the top right -> Edit ownership and control -> Add Ultimate Beneficial Owner.

  3. Search for the person you wish to add as a UBO in the search field that appears in the side panel. Select the desired person -> Add.

  4. If you cannot find the entity you are looking for, it may be because it does not exist in any registry. You can then choose to create a new entity by clicking Create new entity -> select whether it is a person or a company and fill in the details for the entity -> Leave a comment before you finish by clicking Submit.

  5. The entity is now registered as a UBO for the company and screened for PEP, sanctions, and AMS. It will not carry over as a UBO to other related companies, as it has no ownership.
