This feature helps you resolve incomplete ownership chains by suggesting potential matches for international parent companies. When a local registry lists a foreign company as an owner but provides no further details, this tool allows you to link to the correct global entity's profile.
Primary Use Case
Use this feature during a KYB investigation when you identify a local company (Company A) owned by an international entity (Company B), but the local data for Company B is missing. This allows you to bridge the gap and continue tracing the ownership structure up to the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs).
Step-by-Step Instructions
Navigate to the Ownership Map of the given company, we will clearly label companies with international ownership in the map
Select "Connect Owner" from this view
Strise will attempt the find the entity in our graph model and suggest possible matches
Finalize by selecting "Connect Ownership" in the menu
Key Considerations & Limitations
User-Validated Match: The system provides suggestions based on name matching. You are responsible for reviewing the suggestions and confirming that you are linking to the correct entity.
Search, Not Creation: This feature searches for existing global profiles. If the correct parent company is not in the suggestions, you may need to use the "Add Custom Company" feature to create it manually.
Data Availability: The level of detail available for the suggested global owner depends on the data accessibility in its home jurisdiction.
One-Way Link: This action creates a connection from the local company to the global parent. This link is saved as part of your investigation.
