This feature allows you to manually create a company profile in the system when that company cannot be found through our standard search.

In situations where a company is not yet listed in a public registry (e.g., it is newly incorporated) or operates in a jurisdiction with limited public data availability. Creating a custom company allows you to link individuals (like UBOs), perform screenings, and maintain your standard compliance workflow for that entity.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to your portfolio and select "Create Company" from the drop down

  2. Enter the known information about the company, including the firmographics, owners, and roles.

Expected Outcome

The company profile will be created and saved within your account, marked as a "Custom Company." You can now access this profile to:

  • Manually add and link associated parties (such as UBOs and directors).

  • Run AML screenings (PEP, Sanctions, Adverse Media) against the custom company name.

  • Include the entity in your monitoring and internal reporting.

What happens if the company I created suddenly appears in a public register?

A data conflict occurs when your edited data does not match newly updated data from the registry. Upon notification of a data conflict, you must choose whether to retain your edited data or replace it with updated data from the register.

Where do I find ownership conflicts?

You will receive a notification (in the bell icon at the top right when you are logged into Strise), as well as by email.

Key Considerations & Limitations

  • Internal Record Only: This feature creates an internal-only profile saved within your account. The data is not verified against any external public registry.

  • Manual Data Entry: You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you enter.

  • No Automatic UBOs: The system will not automatically populate UBO or director information for a custom company. You must add these individuals manually to the company's profile to screen them.

  • Clear Identification: The profile will be clearly labeled to distinguish it from registry-verified entities
